Breaking News from LaGuardia Airport (March 23, 2026): An Air Canada Express flight (AC8646, operated by Jazz Aviation) collided with a Port Authority fire truck on the runway shortly after landing at New York's LaGuardia Airport (LGA) late Sunday night, around 11:40 p.m. local time. The Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft, arriving from Montreal (YUL), struck the firefighting vehicle while rolling out on Runway 4. Tragically, both pilots were killed in the impact, which destroyed the cockpit and forward section of the plane.
