 Jenna Ortega and Johnny Depp are shutting down dating rumors. The "Wednesday" star and the "Pirates of the Caribbean" alum both spoke out following a recent gossip item speculating that the pair had sparked a romance while working together on the upcoming "Beetlejuice" sequel. The A-listers responded to the report in separate statements, denying not only the chatter about their personal relationship – but also their professional one. "This is so ridiculous I can't even laugh," Jenna reportedly wrote on her Instagram story on Aug. 31. "I have never met or worked with Johnny Depp in my life. Please stop spreading lies and leave us alone." Though Jenna is set to star in Tim Burton's anticipated "Beetlejuice" follow-up, his frequent collaborator Johnny has no plans to make an appearance. The Oscar nominee's rep issued a statement on the matter, telling multiple outlets that Johnny "has no personal or professional relationship with Ms. Ortega whatsoever. He has never met her or spoken to her. He is not involved in any project with her, nor does he intend to be. He is appalled by these baseless and malicious rumours that are intended to harm his reputation and career."
