 Suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol in Tomei, causing death of passenger


A 20-year-old male office worker from Adachi Ward, Tokyo, was charged by Kanagawa Prefectural Police with violating the Motor Vehicle Driving Punishment Act for causing an accident on the Tomei Expressway last year while under the influence of alcohol, and killing his female passenger in a collision with a car following him. It was revealed on the 12th through an interview with a person involved in the investigation that the case had been submitted to the public prosecutor's office.
