#SpiderVerse star Shameik Moore has deactivated his Twitter (X) and Instagram accounts

Shameik Moore, known for voicing Miles Morales in the "Spider-Verse" animated films, has recently deactivated his social media accounts following a series of controversies related to inappropriate social media posts. The most recent incident involved a video posted on TikTok suggesting a romantic connection between Moore and actress Laura Harrier, who played Liz Allan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's "Spider-Man: Homecoming." After Harrier publicly called out Moore for not removing the video despite her request, Moore issued an apology video and subsequently deactivated his social media presence on Twitter (X) and Instagram.

This move comes after another incident where Moore was perceived to react negatively to his "Spider-Verse" co-star Hailee Steinfeld's engagement announcement, although he later clarified that his posts were unrelated to her engagement. The backlash from these incidents, along with speculation about his future in the "Spider-Verse" franchise, has led to discussions about his behavior on social media. Posts on X suggest that his actions might have repercussions on his professional life, with some users humorously implying that his role as Miles Morales could be at risk due to these controversies.

The timing of these events has also coincided with delays in the production of "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse," though there's no direct evidence linking Moore's social media activities to the film's delays. However, the online community has been vocal about the potential impact of his actions on his career and the franchise's image.

Overall, Moore's decision to step away from social media seems to be an attempt to mitigate further controversy and possibly to focus on his upcoming projects without the distractions and drama of public scrutiny.
