Authored by UC Davis-affiliated storm chaser Colin McCarthy, it highlights dire implications for Jamaica, where the storm is projected to make landfall as a Category 5 early October 28, 2025, with winds exceeding 160 mph.

Forecasts from the National Hurricane Center confirm the eye's path over Jamaica's south coast, promising catastrophic damage including widespread flooding and landslides, though some models suggest minor offshore deviations could spare the island's mountainous interior.
