BLACKPINK’s ‘DEADLINE’ debuts at No. 8 on Billboard 200, continues global chart streak

BLACKPINK has once again proven its global influence, as the group’s third mini album ‘DEADLINE’ debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200.

According to a preview of the chart released on March 9 KST by Billboard, ‘DEADLINE’ entered the Billboard 200 at No. 8. With this achievement, BLACKPINK has now recorded its fifth entry on the chart following "SQUARE UP," "Kill This Love," "THE ALBUM," and "BORN PINK." The group has also successfully placed three consecutive albums in the Billboard 200 top 10.

The album is also performing strongly in the United Kingdom. On the UK Official Albums Chart, ‘DEADLINE’ ranked No. 11, while the title track “GO” reached No. 44 on the Singles Top 100 chart. According to the group’s artist page on the Official Charts, BLACKPINK continues to maintain consistent chart performance with both albums and singles.

Physical album sales were equally impressive. According to Hanteo Chart, ‘DEADLINE’ sold more than 1.77 million copies during its first week, setting a new first week sales record for a K pop girl group. The strong early sales and global chart performance once again highlight the power of BLACKPINK’s fandom.

‘DEADLINE,’ released on February 27, is BLACKPINK’s third mini album. Its title track “GO” features a powerful beat and a confident message, quickly gaining traction on major global charts following the group’s comeback.
