Her posts about living with lymphoma and undergoing chemotherapy treatments date back to 2021, but she reviewed everything that led up to her diagnosis in an Instagram caption from March 2022. She described the initial signs as a tumor she "pretended" was a strain. Weiqian noted that her symptoms appeared before she hired employees and was therefore handling all of the moving, packing and shipping of goods by herself.

"One day, I suddenly experienced intense pain under my armpit. It was really sudden. I thought to myself, 'I'm working so hard, I even strained my armpit!' But the pain didn't subside at all; in fact, it got worse," she wrote, adding that her friends worried that she might have breast cancer. Upon their advice, she regularly checked for "anything strange" in her armpits, and eventually she felt something that grew rapidly.

"It started to grow noticeably every day ... Its growth rate was off the charts!" wrote Weiqian. Her mother urged her to see a doctor, where she underwent tests on the spot.

"The ultrasound showed it was just a regular lymph node, but the shape was a bit strange. The doctor said I could continue testing if I wanted, but I thought, 'Forget it, it's not a big deal,'" she continued in her caption. "Just when I was about to give up, my dad insisted on getting a diagnosis ... This time, the ultrasound revealed not just one growth, but a whole cluster of lymphomas."

In another post reflecting on her illness, Weiqian explained how she maintained her gratitude and "positive energy" while dealing with cancer.

"Maybe because I am very ritualistic, I like to make my life ... exquisite and beautiful, everything can shine, there is no ugly knot in my life, all are beautiful bows tied with my own hands," she wrote alongside an Instagram post from January 2022. Addressing her thousands of supporters online, she added, "I have to continue to move forward hand in hand with you."
