Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer have graced the Cannes Film Festival with their presence for the third time. The 33-year-old twins, who are the nieces of Princess Diana and the first cousins of Prince William and Prince Harry, joined the star-studded procession to the Palais des Festivals on Thursday evening, where Coward, a romantic drama directed by Belgian filmmaker Lukas Dhont and starring Emmanuel Macchia and Valentin Campagne, was screened in competition.
In keeping with the glamorous spirit of Cannes, Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza chose long evening gowns with high collars by Zuhair Murad. The former slipped into a nude gown from the Fall 2026 collection, which was adorned with sequins and pearls in a geometric pattern. The latter preferred a black mermaid gown (also from Fall 2026) with a lace bodice embroidered with pearls.
Their hair was held back in a low bun and coiled in exactly the same way, and their blue eyes were darkly lined, that intensity counteracted with their matching rosy lip look. Both aristocrats completed their outfits with Sahag Arslanian jewelry.
Last year, the pair caused a sensation on the Cannes red carpet, appearing in coordinated strapless gowns from the wedding dress collection designed by Vera Wang for Pronovias. Their eldest sister, Lady Kitty Spencer, took to the steps on the same evening in an electric purple gown.
Amelia and Liza are well-known as socialites in the UK, and also work as models. The daughters of Charles Spencer, Diana Spencer's younger brother, and his first wife, Victoria Lockwood (the ninth Earl Spencer married his fourth wife, archaeologist Cat Jarman, last week in Arizona), the twins are also lucky in love: Amelia married sports coach Greg Mallett in March 2023, in a grand ceremony in the vineyards of South Africa. Her sister accepted a marriage proposal from her boyfriend Channing Millerd—a friend of her brother-in-law—last July.
